We care about protecting your data. This page explains what data we collect on erso-laciotat.fr, why, and how you can exercise your rights.

Data we collect

When you use the booking request form, we collect:

  • your name and email address;
  • your phone number (optional);
  • the number of guests and your preferred dates;
  • the content of your message.

Like any website, our hosting provider also records technical connection data (IP address, date and time of visit) for security purposes.

Why we use your data

  • To answer your request and prepare your stay: this processing is based on your request (pre-contractual measures) and on your consent, given by ticking the box on the form.
  • To protect the website against spam and abuse: this processing is based on our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we never sell or rent it.

Who can access your data

Your data is only accessed by the hosts of L'Erso, Delphine Zimmermann and Marie-Laurence Ferracci. It passes through our technical service providers, acting on our behalf: our hosting and email provider, Infomaniak Network SA. Infomaniak stores data in Switzerland, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection.

How long we keep it

  • Requests that do not lead to a stay: 3 years from our last exchange.
  • Requests that lead to a stay: for as long as needed to manage the stay, then for the periods required by our legal obligations (including accounting).
  • Technical connection data: 12 months at most.

Cookies and third-party content

This website uses no advertising cookies and no audience measurement tools. It only uses:

  • a technical cookie that remembers your chosen language (French or English);
  • login cookies, reserved for the website's administrators.

These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to work and do not require your consent.

To display the 360° virtual tour, your browser loads a library from the jsDelivr service, which involves sending your IP address to that service. The website's fonts are provided by Google Fonts, which involves sending your IP address to Google.

The weather card in the footer queries the Open-Meteo service, which involves sending your IP address to that service; it sets no cookies.

The buttons leading to Google Maps and Airbnb take you to those websites, which apply their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data protection law, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise these rights, write to us at hello@erso-laciotat.fr. We will reply within one month.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data: secure connection (HTTPS), access limited to the hosts, and spam protection on the form.
